John Travolta and Daughter Share Heartwarming Tributes to Kelly Preston on the Late Actress' 60th Birthday
In a world where marriages often end in divorce, it’s becoming more and more of a rare thing to find a married couple who last for a lifetime.
It had been nearly thirty years that John Travolta and Kelly Preston had been married prior to her passing back in 2020, according to Good Morning America.
The number of first marriages that end in divorce is right around 40 percent, according to the CDC. And one might wonder if it tends to be even higher in Hollywood.
Preston would have been 60 years old this year.
In honor of her memory, Travolta and their daughter, Ella, put together a lovely memorial.
Travolta posted a beautiful photo of the two of them on Facebook from a few years back and wrote, “Happy birthday to my favorite dance partner! We love you and miss you, Kelly.”
Ella posted a heartwarming, tear-jerker video in which she put together a collection of photos of her and her mom. The pictures scrolled along while Haley Reinhart’s “Can’t Help Falling in Love” cover played.
Preston battled breast cancer for two years, and chose to keep her fight private.
“She had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends. She was a bright, beautiful and loving soul who cared deeply about others and who brought life to everything she touched,” a family representative told People back in July of 2020.

The couple also had two sons together — Jett and Benjamin. Jett passed away when he was 16 years old back in January of 2009.
A life-threatening illness is a terrifying experience to have to walk through. While it’s a great blessing to be surrounded by loving family and friends, one organization that can also offer some free support services is called Pink Ribbon Girls.
The organization has a presence in several regions, and frequently holds both in-person and virtual events.
