How to Discover God's Purpose for Your Life
It’s a question that has burned in every human heart since the dawn of creation.
A question Eve tried to answer by eating the forbidden fruit because she thought there was more to life than she could see. A question the world tries to answer with trends and unattainable standards.
A question that may be the current and all-consuming narrative in your mind: Why am I here?
Guided by the illumination of Scripture, Kytia L’amour leans into this question by unearthing the answer not many people realize is living right inside them.
L’amour, Author of “Grow with God,” sets the stage for discovering true purpose on this Earth by quoting the writer of Ephesians:
“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them” (Ephesians 2:10, ESV).
Before every person was born, God had a holy and unique plan for each one (Psalm 139), and He equips people to walk in those plans, but there’s a catch.
Believers need to proactively and intentionally step into these good plans by choosing to keep their eyes, hearts, and minds on God and His Word.
“You are designed for a reason,” L’amour said, and Christians need to spend time with Him first to discover the secret to living out His purpose for their lives: knowing and standing in who they are in Christ.
Realizing and believing the identity placed on believers — loved, chosen, not forsaken, worthy, valued, important, special, and made on purpose — is key to living from a mindset that says, “I am enough because Christ’s sacrifice on the Cross and resurrection was more than enough.”
Only God knows the secret things — the path ahead that is often unknown — and He will guide His children through each work He has prepared in advance for them to do.
When the way is foggy and the outcome looks uncertain, never forget this undying truth: You are God’s masterpiece, and He will light the way through.
