Starbucks Employee Prays with Customer in Drive-Thru: "Now This Is Worth Talking About Y'all"
Many of the best prayers happen in the most unexpected places — but the drive-thru at Starbucks?
Yes, that’s the prayer that has gone viral and been a testimony to many about the power of a well-timed prayer, no matter what else is going on around you!
Tanya Hinsley witnessed Carrie, a Starbuck barista, praying with the person in front of her in the drive thru.
When she posted about it on Facebook, it struck a chord with many.
“I did however see this lady at Starbucks hilltop PRAY with a woman in the drive through this morning because she needed it. Now this is worth talking about y’all. #glorytogod”
KAIT8 in Jonesboro, Arkansas reported on the good news story. The station spoke with Hinsley.
She said she’s been teaching her son to drive and as they’ve practiced drive-thru driving, Miss Carrie has been cheering Wyatt on.
On this day, as they were waiting for the popular barista, Tanya captured her praying with a customer and thought it might brighten people’s day.
Hinsley believes Miss Carrie deserves every bit of recognition and honor that comes her way!
Carrie’s Starbucks manager weighed in on the Facebook post with this comment: “Everyone I am the manager at the Hilltop location and I want to say a BIG THANK YOU for recognizing this woman. I’ve been blessed to work beside her since I started with this company.
“She will lift the entire team up and she’s been here everyday since we opened. She finds her strength daily and she sets an example like no other! Thanks again for getting her out there and recognizing her for who she is and how much of a difference she makes!!”
Another Facebook commenter shared this story about Carrie: “This woman!!! She ALWAYS brings a smile to my face! I can remember the first time I saw her in the drive-thru. I had just been in the ER all night with my then 6 month old who was running a high fever. I stopped by for a coffee because lord knows I was going to need it.”
“I had been crying because I was emotionally and physically exhausted. And she said ‘Good Morning Friend, how are you?’ And she sat there and listened to me and made me feel 100000 times better and told me everything will get better and she prays my baby felt better soon. She always has a smile on her face! And makes my days better! We love her!”
Paul told the believers in Thessalonica to “pray without ceasing” (1 Thessalonians 5:17, ESV). Miss Carrie is apparently demonstrating the power of that verse during her shifts at Starbucks.
Hopefully, her story is encouraging many smiles and, of course, a lot more prayers!
