Discovery+ Hops on the Holiday Bandwagon with Release for Four New Christmas Movies
For many people, fun Christmas movies are as much a part of the season as a tasty Christmas dinner and exchanging gifts.
The nostalgia of the classics enhance a sweet atmosphere like a cup of warm cocoa and a person’s favorite Christmas candy. But new movies add a freshness to Christmas traditions that can also be enjoyable for families.
Four new movies that are already out this holiday season are “One Delicious Christmas,” “A Gingerbread Christmas,” “A Christmas Open House” and “Designing Christmas.”
They launched on November 11th, exclusively on Discovery+, according to Variety.
The four new movies include cameo appearances from HGTV hosts Ben and Erin Napier of “Home Town,” Hilary Farr of “Love it or List it” and Food Network stars Bobby Flay and Duff Goldman.
Erin Napier took to her Instagram account to let fans know about the movie and its release.
Those starring in “One Delicious Christmas” include Bert Cardozo, Judy Deboer and Elana Dunkelman. The drama/romance details Abby’s struggles after inheriting Haven Restaurant and Inn, and the challenges she encounters in teaming up with hot shot chef Preston Weaver in an effort to get an investor to help keep the businesses going, according to IMDb.
Those starring in “A Gingerbread Christmas” include Tiya Sicar, Marc Bendavid and Sugith Varughese. This one is also a drama/romance, according to IMDb. When Hazel decides to visit her home town for the holidays, she finds herself romantically involved with a local contractor who assists her dad with the family bakery. But misunderstandings may douse the flames of their relationship.
“A Christmas Open House” stars Monica Garcia Bradly, Olivia Barle and Diesel Brown. Also a drama/romance movie, it involves main character Melissa, a professional Atlanta property stager. She decides to enlist the assistance of an old high school crush to help renovate and sell her mom’s house, according to IMDb. As the holidays approach, the duo find themselves in a romantic relationship.

Finally, the “Designing Christmas” movie is, yes, yet another drama/romance. The stars in this movie include Sean Cage, Eugene Clark and Marcus Colby, according to IMDb. Main characters Stella and Pablo have worked together for 6 years as co-hosts for a house renovation show. Romance begins to bloom between the two of them, causing complications and unexplored feelings that could put an end to all they’ve built.
