Christian Singer Kari Jobe Says "People Are Really Hungry for a Move of God"
Many Americans are feeling the stab of inflation driving the cost of living to dramatic highs. In fact, earlier this year it was reported that inflation was at its highest level in 40 years. Put that together with gas prices being the highest they have ever been in history, and you have a large number of American families really struggling financially.
Pew Research Center reported that, “The public views inflation as the top problem facing the United States – and no other concern comes close. Seven-in-ten Americans view inflation as a very big problem for the country, followed by the affordability of health care (55%) and violent crime (54%).”
That being said, it’s no great surprise that Christian Singer Kari Jobe is seeing that “people are really hungry for a move of God” and “a fresh infilling of the Spirit of God.”
“Worship changes the atmosphere, and in a time where it seems that people are being really influenced by opinions and other atmospheres, worship reminds us of the power and the presence of God, and the hope and healing we find in His presence,” she told The Christian Post.
Jobe is touring with Elevation Worship this Summer, and her heart’s desire is that those who come to the concerts will receive a fresh revelation of “how much Jesus loves them and how the presence of God can transform their everyday lives.”
At a time when nearly half of Americans are struggling financially, Jobe says that the way she hangs on to a right focus when she’s going through difficult circumstances is to make a point of drawing closer to the Lord. When things feel overwhelming and heavy, “There’s truly no other place to go for peace,” she said.
The Elevation Summer Tour will include several cities during the month of August, offering concert attendees a powerful evening of worship and the opportunity to shift their focus back toward the Lord so they can experience a time of refreshing and joy.
