Soap Opera Legend John Aniston Dead at Age 89
Jennifer Aniston is mourning the death of her father, John Aniston, who left this world at the age of 89.
She confirmed her father’s death with the words of a loving daughter on her Instagram account:
“Sweet papa… John Anthony Aniston. You were one of the most beautiful humans I ever knew. I am so grateful that you went soaring into the heavens in peace – and without pain. And on 11/11 no less! You always had perfect timing. That number will forever hold an even greater meaning for me now 🕊️I’ll love you till the end of time💔 Don’t forget to visit 💫🤗❤️”

John Aniston began acting in 1962 and was renown for his role as Victor Kiriakis in “Days of Our Lives.” He played the character for thirty-seven years and was honored earlier this year with a Daytime Emmys Lifetime Achievement Award.
According to WFLA, “The actor was born in Greece but came to the U.S. as a child. He started acting in the 1960s and has since amassed a long list of acting credits, including small parts on popular shows like ‘The West Wing,’ ‘Star Trek: Voyager,’ ‘Gilmore Girls’ and ‘Mad Men.'”
In 2018, Aniston claimed he had achieved the perfect amount of fame as a soap opera actor — just enough to satisfy the ego and not enough to disrupt life.
Of course, Aniston was likely comparing his fame with his daughter’s, “Friends” star Jennifer, whose life is certainly “disrupted” by her renown.
People reports that “Days of Our Lives” issued this statement regarding Aniston’s passing, “Our hearts are broken over the loss of our beloved family member John Aniston. We love you John. Your legend will live on.”
Included with the remark is a loving video tribute to the soap opera legend.

John leaves behind a son, Alexander, whom he had with his second wife, Sherry Rooney, who also survives him, as well as Jennifer. John’s ex-wife, and Jennifer’s mother, Nancy Dow, died in 2016.
