There was no warning about the overload of cuteness that “broke the Internet” when a favorite boy band was featured with their puppy namesakes!

KUSA featured the adorable pups who were temporarily living at the Nashville Humane Society eagerly hoping to find homes. Each canine was named after a Backstreet Boy including one named “Millennium” after their 1999 album.

The Backstreet Boys were also in town for their “DNA World Tour.”

The Humane Society announced on their Instagram that there was a special event happening in the house:

“That’s right, everyone! It’s time to throw your hands up in the air and wag your tails like you just don’t care. 🙌 Cause have we got some news for you! Allow us to introduce you to Nashville Humane’s Backstreet Boys litter WITH THEIR BACKSTREET BOY’S NAMESAKE!”

The pups were invited to help the band with a photo shoot.

“As you can see from the photos in this post, the experience was Larger Than Life for all involved! We are so grateful for this superstardom support towards raising adoption awareness for some adorable 9–10-week-old shepherd mix shelter pups!”

The photos and the band did the admirable work of alerting the world to the availability of the pets desperately seeking homes. The shelter reported that besides breaking the Internet, the puppies stirred plenty of interest.

According to Fox News Entertainment,  “As of Wednesday night, only Howie, AJ and Nick were awaiting adoption.”

Fox also reported that “five of the six shepherd mixes all between nine and 10 weeks old hung out with the group, which consists of Nick Carter, Howie Dorough, AJ McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson.”

That means Millennium, Brian, and Kevin have already found new families thanks to the cooperative efforts of the musicians, the shelter, and the loving hearts of people in the Volunteer State of Tennessee.

That’s cuteness, choreography and coordination we can all appreciate! Welcome home, puppies!
