"Fox & Friends" Co-Host Ainsley Earhardt: "God Chose Me for This Position"

Chosen. That’s what Ainsley Earhardt believes.

“I really feel like God chose me for this position because He wanted me to be bold and wanted me to share the Gospel,” she stated in an article on Faithwire.

Earhardt is one of the co-anchors of “Fox & Friends” on the Fox Network. That’s a calling in itself.

But Ainsley’s heart for children has also inspired her to use the gift of her news platform to write books. She prays these books help children and families see God’s power at work in their lives.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jeremiah 29:11, ESV)

This verse inspired Earhardt’s new project, “I’m So Glad You Were Born: Celebrating Who You Are.”

This colorful children’s book was sparked by a positive message from Ainsley’s own upbringing.

“When I was growing up, my mother, on our birthdays, would say, ‘I’m so glad you were born,’ and that was her message to us. So, one day, I was on air and I said it and all of the crew and my co-anchors started laughing on ‘Fox & Friends,” Earhardt told “The 700 Club.”

“And I said, ‘I know it sounds funny, and I know you’ve probably never heard that before, but think about it. It’s your birthday. It’s the day that you were born. It’s a very special — you’re going to contribute to this earth, to this world, and God’s going to use you in a mighty way.’”

Earhardt is now passing that message onto her daughter, Hayden, and hopes her book will encourage people “to find their worth in the Lord, and to persist and triumph through difficult times.”

She knows that hard times are ahead for most people and believes it’s important to know from an early age that relying on Jesus will get you through to the other side of most trials.

“Even though you might want that hard experience to change or you want your future to change, take heart because right around the corner it will. But God might put you through some suffering and allow you to go through some hard times, because he wants you to depend on him and trust that he is going to make a way for you.”

Ainsley stays grounded in God’s Word and engages in weekly study with other women. She also practices regular prayer, including praying around the local schools.

As challenging as our times are, Earhardt believes God will have the final word on our lives.

“But through it all, God says, ‘Take heart, I have overcome the world.’ And I love that Scripture, because it reminds me that, no matter what you’re going through, He has already overcome it.”
