His Sport Spectrum interview highlights the team and shines a special light on Bryce Young’s faith.
“I work to be the best version of myself that I can be and to embody Christ in all that I do,” he said on the podcast. “So, for me, regardless of how someone else views me, whatever award, accolade, what someone may say … at the end of the day, what motivates me and pushes me is to model myself after the Lord.”
Alabama has the top spot in the “preseason AP top 25 college football poll.” They finished their last season 11-1. In the interview, Young emphasized that the team works as a unit and no one comes in with a sense of entitlement. He believes in hard work to achieve success.
This attitude is clearly working for the Pasadena native. “The Heisman was just one of the many awards and honors he received. He was also the SEC Offensive Player of the Year, the AP Player of the Year and the winner of the Maxwell Award, among other recognitions.”
Young was raised by Christian parents and believes his faith in God is what grounds him to navigate the heights of success. “What matters most to him is carrying himself in a way that brings glory to the Lord.”
According to Christian Headlines, Bryce has been outspoken in his faith and states the hard working player believes, “his faith is giving him purpose and peace as he prepares to lead No. 1 Alabama during his junior season.”
Young brings his faith to everything he does and is working to represent God through football.
“Whether it’s small things, big things, whatever it is, I understand that God’s with me.”
