Fire Crews Discover Bible "Mostly Unburnt" Inside "Totally Burned Out" SUV
Isaiah 43:2 states, “When you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you” (ESV). This quote is relatable to what occurred in West Virginia.
A woman traveling North on Route 29 in her Chevrolet Equinox pulled over after the driver behind her flashed their lights to warn her of flames coming from the engine.
Firefighters with the Rustburg Volunteer Fire Department in Campbell County, West Virginia were called to the scene to extinguish the blaze.
“It burned everything inside of the car, the exterior, the tires off of it, it’s down to the rim,” Lt. Eric Spitzer said according to WSLS-TV. “It’s nothing but a shell of a car left.”
When firefighters went through the car, they found something astonishing; a Bible in the backseat that was nearly untouched. The Bible was opened to 1 Chronicles and 2 Chronicles, which are two Old Testament books that cover the genealogies of the people of Israel.
“I feel God is protecting firemen at scenes. I felt he may be protected these people,” Spitzer added. “They were alerted there was a problem.”
This wasn’t the first miracle to happen involving a Bible. Another incident occurred in 2019 when a devastating fire destroyed a West Virginia church, but left every single Bible inside untouched.
In Wisconsin, a Bible that was approximately 150 survived not one, but two church fires. The church’s pastor stated that it was “truly the work of God.”
One of the most miraculous stories involving a Bible was shared by Jerry Bowyer, a financial economist and president of Bowyer Research, who shared with The Christian Post about an unburned Bible surviving at the crash site of Flight 93 near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.
“This is real. But it’s not just a ‘miracle,’ which is to say a wonder from God meant to inspire us by telling us that He was there that day. It is what the New Testament called a sémeion, a sign, which is to say a message to His people,” Bowyer stated. “I believe it is a message about what kind of age we are in, why we are in that kind of age, and what will happen to our nation if we are unfaithful to our calling.”
There are dozens of more stories about Bibles surviving fires. Perhaps, this is a direct message from God letting everyone know that there is no end to His Word.
