Being a mom is the hardest and most rewarding job on the planet.
With it comes laughter, tears, tremendous joy and, yes, frustration.

No one puts the ups and downs of motherhood more eloquently into words than Kirsten Watson of Why or Why Not with the Watsons on Liftable. The good, the bad, the hilarious and the redeeming.

Here are our top 5 mom moments:

1. Mom Brain is real.

I am completely guilty of calling my kids by the wrong name. We’ve all been there.

In this hilarious clip, Kirsten forgets how old her kids are. (I can’t remember my own age most of the time, let alone if I had seven children.)

2. Mom Truth: We can never finish a cup of coffee.

In this Why or Why Not segment, Kirsten tries to justify to Benjamin why he always finds half empty cans and cups of coffee around the house.

3. Past Bedtime = Overtime for Mom and Dad.

The kids are up, we can’t wait for them to go to bed.

The moment they go to bed, we miss them already.

“They don’t pay me enough to do overtime.”

4. The Enemy Comes to Kill, Steal and Destroy

Kirsten shares about being intentional with your children when they see you and your spouse arguing. Communication is key.

Because when mom and dad are on the same team, the devil better watch out.

5. Spoiler Alert. Moms need Jesus.

“You realize how unholy you are, when you realize how holy He is.”

You may think you have things under control and can manage, but the truth is, we all need Jesus.

Let this last clip be a word of encouragement and a reminder to moms everywhere to lean on God instead of trying to carry the weight of the world on your shoulders.
